Cluster VI (framed)
This was painted after I went to the coast in the North East of England in Winter. It was snowing and I was drawn to the colours and shapes beneath the ice in the rock pools. I mix my oil paint with bees wax which enables me to create intricate textures and scrape away layers to reveal colours beneath.
It has been painted on a cradled wood panel which prevents the painting surface from warping and has a white wooden frame which is complete with D rings and cord.
